We are a family project, and we are simple people who value the details that pass before our eyes every day. Such as a hawk perched in front of the house, or an owl in the trees, stars in a sky with no lights to get in the way..., in short, details from other times. Wild animals are welcome here, and everything we do seeks not to disturb them. That is why our construction is entirely made of earth, using sand from the beaches where turtles build their nests, where they lay their eggs, and where other species have their habitat.

We are in São Nicolau island - SNE, in Cape Verde. There are 3 options for flights to São Nicolau, coming from Praia - RAI, Santiago; Sal - SID, and São Vicente - VXE.

By Ferry, still the country does not have regular routes, which makes this option very difficult. Although very interesting these trips, by being able to appreciate the islands from another angle, and with views of the whales, if you are lucky.

I was welcomed with open arms and felt right away at home. Sergio, Simone and the 2 children are wonderful hosts. Sergio also gives tons of tips which is what I most appreciate because I came to hike. And on my hikes I was accompanied by their lovely dog Scoobidoo :). I love that they built their house by themselves (bioconstruction) and are into permaculture. I can easily stay a week here and explore all the wonders of this mystical island. Muito obrigada

This charming place has friendly, patient hosts, I felt they were reliable. I was fed well (excellent cooking) and they were so helpful in recommending were I could go even with some changes to plans, they helped my stay in São Nicolau to be better and easier to navigate then it would have otherwise been, I imagine!
